WASHINGTON ? Allies of Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman are going on the air in New Hampshire in a bid to boost his lagging campaign.
The minute-long ad by the Our Destiny political action committee is scheduled to begin airing Tuesday. It highlights Huntsman's two terms as governor, his service as U.S. ambassador to China and record as the nation's top job-creating governor.
The move signals the state's importance to Huntsman's strategy for winning the GOP presidential nomination. His advisers see New Hampshire as make or break. Although none has said Huntsman must win there to stay in the race, his allies hope he can make a stand and challenge Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts governor is favored in New Hampshire.
The ads are to air statewide on broadcast and cable television.
