I?ve seen documentaries of communes in the United States, Typically created by Libertarians and hippies. These people own the land and live off it, but make no actual income. Do these people still have to pay property taxes, and if so, then are they violating the law because they?re unable to do due to having no income Sun? Best answer:

Typically a corporation wants to own the land. If there is no endowment, then the hippies had better get enough income to pay the property tax or they will lose the property.
