Micromax spiced up the smartphone market with their sub-15000 Canvas HD smartphone and Lava today announced their XOLO A1000 that goes for the same set of crowd. Priced at Rs. 13,999, A1000 is Lava?s first 5-inch smartphone with an HD IPS panel display. The phone features One Glass Solution (OGS), which according to Lava integrates the touch sensor, display and the cover glass, effectively reducing the gap between the three.
The phone runs Android 4.1 and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz CPU with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory. Additionally, A1000 has an 8MP camera with full HD video recording and playback, 1.2MP front-facing camera, microSD card slot and 2100mAh battery.
