Play for All Special Needs Egg Hunt-? Saturday, March 23, 9 a.m. The first ever special needs Easter egg hunt is a family-centered event, focusing on active participation for children with various disabilities or limitations. Siblings are welcome to participate in the hunt. This event is FREE, but pre-registration for is required, as there are a limited number of participants allowed in each hunt. HONK!TX- Friday, March 22 ? Sunday, March 24, 2013. HONK!TX is a nonprofit, community-driven festival that brings brass bands from around the country to perform absolutely FREE in the public spaces of Austin, TX. Bands will perform in a range of styles and genres, transforming every day locations into venues. Friday, March 22?is the HONK!TX kickoff from 6 ? 10 p.m. at the 1300 block of South Congress, where 19 bands will perform at Jo?s Coffee, Snack Bar, and the nearby food trailer parking lot. Saturday, March 23, enjoy HONK!TX in the Park! From 11:30 a.m. ? 8 p.m., bands will perform nonstop in five performance spaces around the?Adams and Hemphill Park neighborhoods, near 29th and Fruth Street.?March Madness Marching Band kicks off the festivities with a neighborhood parade at 11:30 a.m. The vast majority of HONK!TX bands will be playing twice throughout the day.? Sunday, March 24?is HONK!TX Parade Day at Pan Am Park (4th and Chicon) from noon ? 2 p.m.?The parade kicks off at 12 noon sharp! The route will see 20 bands and plenty of spectacle marching their musical way through East Austin and returning to the park.
