?Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 not coming to Wii U, confirms series producer
Wii U owners waiting to get their hands on the sequel to Capcom?s action game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 can stop waiting as it has been confirmed by the series producer that the game has no chance of coming to Nintendo?s first-ever HD console.
Dave Cox may have pleased a lot of fans of the prolific franchise that had regularly graced Nintendo console during the previous century, but the most-recent Nintendo console arriving in the market will not play host to the battle between good and evil.
In response to a fan who enquired whether the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has any possibility of arriving on the Wii U, the series producer wrote on the micro-blogging and social networking website Twitter that, ?Sorry to disappoint you but no chance.?
Even though Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, a reboot to the series, arrived on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only in 2010, while notably missing Wii, Nintendo enthusiasts were hoping to get an opportunity to join in on the experience with the sequel.
The sequel is not only arriving for the consoles on which the previous Castlevania: Lords of Shadow game arrived, but is also being developed for the PC.
This was something that had made the Wii U owners optimistic about Capcom planning on porting the game to Nintendo?s dual-screen gaming console.
Much to their dismay, the publisher is continuing to keep some of its major franchises off the first console in the next-generation space.
Previously, the latest game in the renowned zombie survival third-person shooter Resident Evil franchise skipped the Wii U, something that came as a huge surprise for both the gamers as well as analysts, with some of the analysts calling stating that this may end up being something that the company would regret later.
Even though Capcom does not have any plans of bringing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 to the Wii U, the company is getting ready to release the Nintendo 3DS exclusive Castlevania: Lords of Shadow ? Mirror of Fate in March, 2013.
Wii U marks the beginning of the next-generation era in the video game industry.
